SUMMARY
Optimalizing the pumping rate of wells in groundwater exploiting works
by using Simplex method
§Æng H÷u ¥n, Hoµng Phíc
When making the feasibility study on groundwater exploiting works, the exploitable pumping rate of each well must always be paid attention in such a way that the drawdown is less than or equal to the permitted drawdown level, while their total pumping rate reaches maximum.
The optimal answer equivalent to the minimum of target function (F à min) is found by Simplex method after conversing the above equations into the form of Simplex table. The order of solving the mathematic problem by Simplex method is illustrated by the example of defining the optimal discharge of three wells exploiting groundwater from an aquifer. The results of the study show that the Simplex method can be well applied to determine the optimal discharge of wells of exploiting groundwater when their locations are fixed.
