SUMMARY
Environmental geochemistry of soil in the dry and semidry area
from Nha Trang to B×nh ThuËn
Ph¹m V¨n Thanh, TrÞnh V¨n Nh©n
Under the dry and semidry climate inluence, in the conditions of the alkali-rich host rocks, low level of groundwater (0.1- 0.2 m) convenient to infiltration and surface evaporation, some alkaline salt concentrations (soda) have been formed. These are the important factors identifying the material features of soil in hot-dry Nha Trang- B×nh ThuËn area.
The concentration of microelements in soil, in general is lower than the permitted standard, but in some places, there are some serious concentrations of F and As.
Based on the obtained results, some negative and positive impacts of hot-dry conditions to plants, animals and community health have been examined; these are the scientific basis for planning the reasonable land use and sustainable development of environment resources.
