Aiming to evaluate the groundwater source from Neogene beds in the Linh §µm and §Þnh C«ng urban areas, the Division of Hydrogeology and Engineering geology of North ViÖt Nam carried out the drilling of 2 prospecting boreholes, 9 exploitation boreholes, collected over 100 water samples for analyzing microorganisms, microelements, contamination, iron pollution, etc. The discovered total water amount is 5184 m³/day of good quality, among this over 2000 m³/day have been exploited for inhabitants of the §Þnh C«ng area, and in the time to come 2500 m³/day will be provided to the Linh §µm area. Basing on obtained results and remaining problems the authors of the paper suggest resolutions for further studies.
