In this article, the author sets forth the short falls of the division of magmatic bodies after the Kuznetsov’s theory on magmatic formations, that has been applied in the geological mapping work in ViÖt Nam, among them the basic short falls are: it does not allow to put forward geological premises for mineral resources finding and prospecting; and it does not help us in the tectonic zoning of the territory of ViÖt Nam. Another classification system for magmatic rocks based on geodynamic regime groups is presented in the article.
