Proton Magnetic Resonance – a direct method for groundwater prospecting

§ç Tö Chung, §oľn ThÕ Hïng

The clean water prospecting for serving people’s living and economic development is now a cause of concern of the worldwide community. There have been being many geophysic methods studied and used in the groundwater prospecting for the above purposes. However, the "traditional" geophysic methods give only indirect informations on the water-bearing possibility of rocks through the data of their structure and geophysic parameters. The Proton Magnetic Resonance (PMR) is the method providing with informations reflecting directly the water-bearing degree of rocks, therefore it is possible of effective application for groundwater prospecting and some other fields.

In this paper the theoretic bases, nature and possibility of use of the PMR method in the groundwater prospecting in ViÖt Nam are given by the authors.
