Recent studies on the initial Sr isotopic ratio of granite of the Bµ Nµ massif show that it is higher than 0.705, so this granite was formed by magma of continental crust origin. By the Rb-Sr isotopic method its age has been determined as 245± 3 Ma, equivalent to Early Triassic.
