This paper presents the results of seismic hazard assessment for Hanoi area. The maps of PGA with probability of 10% of exceedance within 20, 50, 100 years for different soil conditions have been compiled on the basis of source zone map of North ViÖt Nam using the Cornell method of probabilistic analysis and Campbell attenuation law. The map of PGA with probability of 10% of exceedance within 50 years is presented.
