On May 2002, some new vertebrate fossil producing localities were discovered while surveying Triassic limestones in Nho Quan, Ninh B×nh Town and §ång Giao (Ninh B×nh Province) for exposed fissure-fillings. Among them, in the locality located at 20.07.83 N, 105.52.13 E were found many mammal teeth and bones. We collected a number of fossils including teeth of orangutan (Pongo), macaque (Macaca), rhino (Rhinoceros), pig (Sus), a large rodent, and other mammals. Preliminary analysis of the specimens collected at this locality suggest a Middle or Late Pleistocene age based on the presence of Pongo.
