Scientific basis of determining the lower limit standard
for treatment mineral water

The definition of mineral water has been presented in the Mineral Law. But, for distinguishing the mineral water from normal water it is necessary to establish a criteria table and standards.
Based on the analysis of minimum values of criteria of activation with human health, the criteria tables and standard limit of other countries and prevailing value in ViÖt Nam, the author proposes a table of criteria and standard limit for treatment mineral water as follows: T.D.S ³ 1000 mg/l, free CO2 ³ 500 mg/l, total H2S + HS- ³ 1 mg/l, H2SiO3 ³ 50 mg/l, Fe+2 + Fe+3 ³ 10 mg/l, As ³ 0,7 mg/l, Br ³ 5 mg/l, I ³ 1 mg/l, Rn ³ 1 nCi/l; Ra ³ 10-11 g/l and temperature ³ 30oC.
