Summary

Late Cenozoic foraminifers found recently in the shallow-sea sediments
of ViÖt Nam and their geological significance

Mai V¨n L¹c

There are numerous and diverse foraminifer fossils from Upper Cenozoic sediments in the continental shelf and coastal plains of ViÖt Nam. Study on these fossils has been carried out to date the Upper Cenozoic stratigraphic units and their correlation. But up to now the anatomical study on these foraminifers are very scant, therefore there are only a little new species among them. In this article the first found species Alveolinella quoyi in ViÖt Nam and two new species Sorites nayesis and Amphisorus canaensis are described.
