At present, the calculation of resource – reserves of quarries in ViÖt Nam is realized mainly by traditional hand methods. The authors of the paper present the method of surface modeling by the Surfer and Mapinfo softwares with some modules designed by themselves for calculating the resource – reserves of quarries. When the interpolation is selected rationally, the network dimensions are rational, the boundaries are exactly determined, the calculating operations will be not only rapid, but also highly exact. The results allow also geoscientists to use a 3D quarry model, useful for further researches and exploitation.
