Neutron Activation Analysis (NAA) has been applied to determine the trace elements in the rocks collected from different magmatic sources. In order to increase the sensitivity and accuracy of the method, the different techniques of NAA such as Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis (INAA), Radiochemical separation Neutron Activation Analysis (RNAA) and Pre-Chemical separation Activation Analysis (PCS-NAA) have been used. There are difference in the distribution of trace elements between the the different element groups, especially in the ratios of Zn/Cd, Rb/Cs, Zr/Hf, å LREE/ å HREE, LaN/LuN and Eu*/Eu. There are four types of the REE pattern in the different magmatic samples in ViÖt Nam. In the most cases, the REE pattern with the slope decreasing from La to Lu and the negative anomaly of Eu are observed. The other is the flat type of sample T.2061/2- gabro rock, while sample T.2017 - dunite rock has the REE pattern with the slope increasing from La to Lu, that shows the rock was origined from mantle.
