In this article, the authors establish the complex method for analyzing and interpreting the satellite gravity and seismic tomography data to study on the lithosphere structure of Việt Nam and adjacent areas.

Based on the obtained results, the following conclusions can be made:

 - The thickness of the earth crust of Việt Nam changes in the range of from 12 to 38 km.

- The values of the Vietnamese lithosphere thickness are of from 60 to 115 km with the increase tendency toward Trường Sa, Northwest Việt Nam, Northwest Lao and North Thailand areas and decrease to the less value in the centre of the East Việt Nam Sea.

- The Vietnamese lithosphere, at present, lies under the compression condition in the direction: east to west from the Philippines plate, west-southwest to north-northeast from the Indian plate; and north-northwest to east-southeast from the South China plate.
