The North Trung Bộ
coastal area has rather great potentiality in placer ores, especially those of
titane, zircon and monazite. The coastal placer ores in North Trung Bộ
are distributed mainly in Upper Pleistocene and Middle-Upper Holocene
eolo-marine sediments, forming sand dunes, sand bands along old and
contemporary shorelines. Based on the results of the Project: “Investigating
and evaluating the potentiality of coastal placers from Thanh Hoá to Thừa
Thiên - Huế“ some remarks on the characteristics and potentiality of
coastal placer ores in North Trung Bộ can be drawn.
