In this paper, the authors present some first results of applying the
seismic shallow reflection high resolution method in Việt
This seismic survey has been carried out in adjacent areas of Hà Nội, Điện Biên and Kon Tum cities. The survey was implemented along profiles with the length of 1500-2000 m by using the common depth point (CDP) method. The observed field layout is distributed as follows:
The receiver spread varies from 70 to 141 m; the receiver interval is 1,5 and 3 m; the shot interval is 6 and 12 m; the observed fold is 6.
The obtained seismic sections show that the seismic shallow reflection high resolution method may be effectively used to solve many geological problems, such as, geo-technical and hydrological investigations, recent geodynamical and environmental studies.
