Some preliminary results of the investigation on paleo-earthquakes in West Bắc Bộ, Việt Nam

The investigation on paleo-earthquakes of the authors of this article has been carrying out in West Bắc Bộ in the 2007 year. The results have shown that:

1. Maybe one paleo-earthquake occurred in the Phong Thổ area during the time from 480 to 530 years ago.

2. Before the Tuần Giáo 1983 earthquake M6.7, in this area maybe occurred one earthquake in about 420-430 years ago.
