The
application of information technology is an important content in the
administrative reform of the Vietnamese government in general, and of state
offices in particular. The Office of the National Council for Estimation of
Mineral Reserves is taken care by the Ministry of Natural Resources and
Environment in creating good conditions to use the Surpac Vision 5.1 Software
in the control and estimation of mineral reserves. After a time of study on the
testing application of this software in some solid mineral deposits,
researchers of the Office appraise this software as having a lot of advantages
in the deposit modelling, that is nearest to the real deposit, and in the fast
and exact calculation of reserves. This article introduces some basic concepts
in the use of this software and an example of reserve assessment of a concrete
mineral deposit for illustrating the way of using this software.
