SUMMARY

Some features of Cenozoic geological structures in the southwestern part
of Hà Nội Depression on the basis of Bouguer gravity anomaly analysis combined
with other geologo-geophysical data

Cao Đình Triều, Phạm Nam Hưng

On the basis of Bouguer gravity anomalies analysis combined with other geologo-geophysical data of the southwestern part of Hà Nội Depression we have been receiving the following results:

1. There are remaining three structural zones in the South-Western Hà Nội Basin that awe: North-Eastern, Central and South-western zones.

2. The northwestern trending faults: Sông Lô, Vĩnh Ninh, Thái Bình, Hưng Yên, Nam Định, Mỹ Lộc - Yên Định and Sông Hồng (Red River) play important role in the separation of structural zones in Hà Nội Depression.

3. The greatest depth to the bottom layers of different formations existing in the Hà Nội Depression are as follows:

- Vĩnh Bảo bottom layer: from 0.3 to 0.4 km.

- Tiên Hưng bottom layer: from 1.4 to 1.8 km.

- Phù Cừ bottom layer: from 2.4 to 2.5 km.

- Phong Châu bottom layer: from 2.4 to 2.6 km.

The depth to the bottom of pre-Cenozoic basement in the studied area can reach 9.0-9.5 km.
