SUMMARY

Geological and metamorphic features of the Tạ Khoa area through the results of geological mapping at 1:50,000 scale of the Yên Châu sheet group

Lê Thanh Hựu, Đinh Công Hùng

Geological formations in the Tạ Khoa Anticline form a part of the Sông Đà Structure, consisting of Nậm Sập (D1-2 ns), Bản Cải (D3 bc) and Đa Niêng (C1 dn) ones, having their original composition of terrigenous, terrigeno-cherty and carbonate sediments. They were metamorphosed through many stages, but the strongest of them may be happened at the end of Late Paleozoic. On the basis of the paragenetic associations of characteristic minerals, one can divide them into 4 metamorphic zones, corresponding to 3 facies: amphibolite, epidote-amphibolite and greenschist. The article presents the main features of geological and metamorphic characteristics of the Tạ Khoa area.
