Diatom
assemblage characteristics in the LKTH2
borehole of Holocence sediments contributed to clarify the Holocene
environmental change during the Flandrian transgression. Diatom assemblage including 14 species identified
in the LKTH2 borehole divided into 6 Diatom zones from bottom to
top, from Dia 2 to Dia 6 was formed in Holocene. In which Dia 2, Dia 3 and Dia
5 zones, the Diatom fossils are common specific to different ecological environments.
The forming environment is explained through the results of dividing 6 diatom
zones corresponding to 6 sediment sets. The Frandian transgression and
regression period in the Thanh Hóa coastal are the sediment sets 2 and 5,
respectively.
